About Enigma
Enigma is a free daily math puzzle: one target number, one equation with empty slots, and a bank of numbers to place. Everyone in the world gets the same puzzle each day.
The idea
Crosswords have their daily ritual. Word games found theirs. Numbers deserved one too — something you can finish with your morning coffee, that exercises real arithmetic instead of trivia, and that gives you a fair way to compare with friends: same puzzle, same day, measured in attempts and seconds.
The puzzles are generated and curated so that every one has at least one clean solution, difficulty ramps predictably across four levels, and divisions always come out exact. The daily calendar keeps every past puzzle playable, and streaks reward showing up on the day.
Free, with ads
Enigma is free to play, supported by advertising placed outside the game area. Anonymous play works without any sign-up; creating an account (email or Google) simply lets your streaks and history follow you across devices. Details on data handling live in the privacy policy.
Get better
If you want to lower your times, start with the solving strategies, make peace with the order of operations, and steal a few mental math tricks. Ten minutes of reading covers what the top times all have in common.
